Massimo Santicchia

Bio

Massimo brings over 30 years of expertise in the financial markets, specializing in optimizing portfolios for high-net-worth families and institutional investors. With a strong background in creating and managing innovative investment strategies for mutual funds, unit investment trusts (UITs), and separate managed accounts (SMAs), he combines deep fundamental insights with advanced skills in alpha factor discovery, evaluation, and quantitative portfolio structuring.

As Senior Vice President and Head of U.S. Equities at Procyon, Massimo also plays a critical role on the Investment Committee, contributing to research and decision-making around portfolio allocation. Prior to Procyon, he co-founded Alpha Quant Models in 2020, where he developed an independent quantitative research process to craft investment strategies for financial professionals. His leadership at Alpha Quant earned him the prestigious “Manager of the Decade” recognition by PSN Informa for four consecutive years, including 2024.

Massimo holds an M.S. in Investment Management from Pace University, an MBA from Alliant University, and a B.S. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Perugia in Italy. At Procyon, he continues to leverage his experience, managing U.S. domestic portfolio strategies and collaborating with external advisors to apply a disciplined, scalable investment approach for their clients.

Living in South Florida, Massimo swims and plays tennis year-round. Weekend tournaments keep him fit both physically and mentally, providing balance outside of work.
